PokéRogue: Addicted to Endless - My Thoughts from Wave 2300+
Hey Pokerogue players! I'm deep in the endless grind, currently at wave 2300+ searching for that elusive Mewtwo. I figured I’d share my thoughts on the game.
Why I Can't Stop
Endless mode is highly addictive. it has a way of drawing you in and not letting you go. I feel that the game does a great job of balancing the amount of grind to keep the player base engaged. And when you look at what is available to the player in terms of different moves and varied bag shinies there really is no reason to stop playing. Especially when you look up at the number of games that are added
Opportunities for Improvement
Now, time for the constructive criticism. Enemy damage reduction and damage tokens is my biggest issue. it makes it really frustrating to have to fight mobs that you know you should be blowing though, but they are hitting way to hard and doing way to much damage. There needs to be a more dynamic scaling feature that stops or negates this. Another issue is lack of diversity for team comps. The game pushes you to only level up one pokemon. And that could be fine if there was an item or something that made it so that other pokemon could match the same strength as the main one. This would really add a fun element to the endless mode. My last issues is with the gacha legendary system. There should be a way to select a targeted legendary for this system. It makes grinding for a new legendary take way to long.
Despite the handful of gripes, this is an amazing game. As I stated prior it really reminds me of the days that I spend grinding to be the very best with Pokemon ROM hacks.
