Basic settings
The basic settings that allow an administrator to define the essential behavior of the system can be found on the Company Settings page which is available from 'Settings' on the main menu. Most of these preferences can remain unchanged and you will have a very flexible system. However with some changes the system can be fine tuned to provide exactly what you need. The Company Settings page has 10 sections which are explained in detail in our Company settings in depth article.

But, first we will introduce and outline them here in this article.
This section allows you to enter the basic details about your company like company name, email address, primary location and preferred culture. There's also some useful links to related settings in this section.

Leave Year and Types
This section allows you to configure the dates of your leave year as well as how it is displayed and setup the basic Holiday leave type.
This section allows you to configure company wide restrictions that are imposed on users. In particular to restrict visibility of user's leave between users and the ability to make retrospective requests.

Approvals
This section allows you to configure company wide approval settings such as notifying Administrators if the assigned approver is on leave.
Overtime/TOIL
This section allows you to enable and configure company wide settings for overtime and TOIL (Time Off In Lieu).
Notifications
This section allows you to configure company wide notification settings such as if users should be sent a monthly allowance report email and when to send approval reminders.
Outlook Integration
This section allows you to enable or disable iCal (Outlook and Google Calendar) integration for the company.
Bradford Factor
This section allows you to configure Bradford Factor calculations for your company. Once enabled, the results will be visible on the Organisation & Employees page and a report can be generated.
Room Booking
This section allows you to configure the Room Booking function for your company. Once enabled, it will be available from Tools on the main menu.
Company Lists
This section has links to complete company lists and is useful when looking for items that have been deactivated and are not displayed elsewhere.
