Prevent Lost Work When Creating Leave Requests
Filling out a leave request can sometimes take several minutes, especially when users need to provide detailed information or attach supporting files. However, if the page is accidentally closed, refreshed, or the session expires, all entered information may be lost.
A useful improvement would be to introduce a temporary draft recovery system. Instead of requiring users to start over, the system could automatically preserve the information while they are completing the form.
When the user returns to the leave request page, they could receive a notification asking whether they want to continue with the saved draft or start a new request. The draft could also be automatically removed after a certain period if it is no longer needed.
This feature could make the leave request process more reliable and reduce unnecessary frustration, particularly for employees who frequently submit detailed requests.
Would you prefer drafts to be saved automatically in the background, or would you rather have a manual “Save Draft” button for more control? gd
