Survival Race
Players can craft and deploy temporary items that only affect the environment, such as:
- "Heat Sink" Traps: Instantly drops the temperature in a small area, causing Exposure damage to uninsulated players.
- "Toxin Spill": Spreads a localized patch of corrosive chemicals, damaging armor and draining stamina.
Forces rivals to slow down, divert, or use up their limited survival resources.
Instead of a simple closing circle (like in Battle Royale), the map is consumed by randomized environmental hazards (lava flow, spreading ice sheet, sonic storms).
Creates dynamic choke points, forces difficult moral choices, and prevents predictable routes.
Players choose a starting "Path" (e.g., The Scavenger, The Engineer, The Runner), granting them unique starting gear and passive crafting bonuses.
Ensures build diversity and adds a layer of strategic depth before the race begins.
The whistling wind, shifting sand, and heavy rain can mask or reveal rival movements. Players who run or craft loudly become beacons for both wildlife and enemies.
Encourages tactical stealth, patient movement, and the use of the environment as both a shield and a weapon.
Survival Race is a blend of the urgency of a battle royale, the depth of survival crafting, and the unpredictability of a roguelike. The planet itself is the most powerful and ruthless antagonist, and the winner is the one who best uses the collapsing world against their competition.
